Dental implants

Premium Straumann and Neodent systems, digitally guided surgery, regeneration with botiss and PRF — led by Dr. Ertan Omerov, Master of Oral Surgery and specialist in periodontology.

What are dental implants?

An implant is a small, extremely strong screw (titanium or high-quality ceramic) placed surgically in the jawbone to replace the natural root. After it integrates with the bone, a crown, bridge or denture is placed on it.

At Dentoria Ohrid we have been restoring function and confidence for more than 16 years with the premium Straumann Group (Neodent) and Straumann brands.

When do we recommend them?

  • Replacing one tooth — without grinding neighbouring healthy teeth
  • Replacing several teeth — a solid support for implant-borne bridges
  • Full edentulism — All-on-4 / All-on-6 / All-on-X fixed solutions
  • Preserving bone and the natural look of the face

Which concept is for you?

Neodent NeoArch — a fast, stable and more accessible All-on-4/6 with fixed teeth in one day. Straumann Pro Arch — when you need maximum bone preservation, a complex case, or the highest Swiss standard with a lifetime guarantee. The final choice is made together after a 3D CT analysis.

Surgically guided implants — step by step

Computer-guided implantology: bone anatomy and the look of the teeth are joined in a digital plan before the intervention itself.

  1. 1

    CT / CBCT 3D imaging

A three-dimensional view of bone, nerves and sinuses — the basis for a safe plan.

  2. 2

    Digital scanning with 3Shape TRIOS®

No unpleasant impression pastes — a clear digital model of gums and teeth in real time.

  3. 3

    Planning in coDiagnostiX™

Merging the CT and the scan to place every implant virtually with maximum safety.

  4. 4

In-house 3D printing of the surgical guide

The template is printed in the clinic — a fast, controlled and precise process.

  5. 5

Original Neodent system with metal sleeves

Metal sleeves guide the instruments with minimal deviation from the digital plan.

Digital implantology and computer-guided solutions

When you invest in implants, you are not buying only a “screw” — you are buying teeth that should last for decades. Surgery is half of success. Surgery is only half of success. The other half is digital precision when the teeth are made — without it, an implant investment will not last for decades.

1. Photogrammetry

The biggest challenge in All-on-4 / All-on-6 is transferring implant positions accurately to the laboratory.

  • Special optical cameras capture the implants from several angles in a few seconds
  • Technical deviation on the order of about 0.5 microns — without the distortions of classic impression pastes
  • The bridge seats passively — without tension and destructive pressure on the bone
  • Shorter, more comfortable clinical try-in stages

Medical reality: Shorter and more comfortable try-in appointments for the patient.

2. Original abutments

The abutment is the link between the crown and the implant. Dentoria rule: no compromise on material quality.

  • Only original abutments from the same brand as the implant — no generic copies
  • A factory-tested connection with micron accuracy
  • Titanium or zirconia for a natural gum fit
  • Lower risk of peri-implantitis, loosening and screw fracture

3. Screw-retention versus cementation

Screw-retained work is our gold standard. We almost never cement — because of the risk of cement under the gum and a repair that would mean destroying the bridge.

Screw-retention (Dentoria)

  • Retention with micro-screws on Multi-Unit (bridges) or Ti-Base (single crowns)
  • Zero risk of excess cement under the gum
  • Reversible: unscrew → receramic if the gum recedes → screw again, minimal cost

Cementation (market standard)

  • Excess cement under the gum often leads to infection
  • If the gum recedes, the bridge cannot be removed without breaking it
  • The whole bridge is cut and discarded — the patient pays for a complete new one

4. Protocol for restorations on implants

Bridges — always Multi-Unit

Never attach crowns directly to the implant. Original Multi-Units level the angles and allow a passive fit without screw preload.

Single teeth — always Ti-Base

An original titanium base for a precise factory connection, without micro-movement and gum irritation.

CAD/CAM from a block

Robotic milling from homogeneous blocks (titanium/zirconia). No printed or hand-cast metal — absolute micron accuracy.

Why we cost more — and why it lasts

FeatureMarket standardPremium at Dentoria
ManufacturingCast or printed metal — risky distortion on coolingCAD/CAM milling from a solid block — no distortion
FitActive — the structure “pulls” and presses on the boneAbsolutely passive — an ideal match without tension
ConnectionDirect or cheap replacement abutmentsOriginal Multi-Unit (bridges) and Ti-Base (single)
LongevityHigher risk of screw fracture, damage and infectionMaximum biological safety — 16+ years of practice

5. Intelligent bar (CAD/CAM Bar)

In major resorption a classic fixed bridge can look too long. The intelligent bar joins implants into a rigid unit.

  • A CAD/CAM titanium or Co-Cr bar that joins the implants into one rigid unit
  • A secondary structure with pink aesthetics (artificial gum) in major resorption
  • Even force distribution in All-on-4 / All-on-6
  • Better hygiene for older patients — stable when eating, cleanable construction
  • Planning via 3Shape + photogrammetry before surgery
CAD/CAM intelligent bar

Intelligent bar — CAD/CAM bar on implants

Long-term value: Screw-retention costs more at the start, but if the gum recedes the bridge is unscrewed, the ceramic is added and it goes back — without throwing away the whole bridge the way cemented work does.

Bone grafting with botiss®

A long-lasting implant needs a solid foundation. When natural bone is missing, we use German botiss biomaterials — planned with coDiagnostiX and 3D CT before the procedure.

cerabone®

A natural bone substitute for socket filling after extraction, volume gain and sinus lift. A stable scaffold for long-term regeneration.

maxgraft®

Allogeneic material from certified banks — recognised faster by the body in complex defects around implants.

jason® membrane

A strong collagen membrane that protects the new bone until the gum stays out of the space.

collacone®

Collagen cones after extraction — they stabilise the clot, reduce pain and protect from bacteria.

mucoderm®

A matrix for gum regeneration / thickening around teeth and implants — without a second surgical site on the palate.

Halal options

We respect every patient’s religious and ethical beliefs. Instead of jason® / mucoderm® (porcine origin) we offer collprotect® membrane (bovine collagen, Halal certificate), a graft from your own palate, or PRF. We explain the origin of the materials at the consultation.

PRF and PRP — biological regeneration

Dr. Ertan Omerov is a Master of Oral Surgery with a scientific focus on PRF and PRP. Before the intervention a small amount of blood is taken and a centrifuge separates the growth factors — 100% your material, without allergy or rejection.

PRP — platelet-rich plasma

A liquid “golden” plasma that stimulates soft tissue and faster early healing in the first hours after the intervention.

PRP — platelet-rich plasma

PRF — platelet-rich fibrin

An elastic membrane/gel without artificial chemicals. Mixed with botiss bone or placed as a protective bio-dressing.

PRF — platelet-rich fibrin
  • Less pain and swelling
  • Faster integration of the implant and gum
  • 0% allergy risk to your own material
  • Higher success in thin bone, smokers and controlled diabetes
